Inspired by OXO, a tic-tac-toe game created for the EDSAC computer in 1952 as part of Alexander Sandy Douglas’ groundbreaking Ph.D thesis on human-computer interaction, this is Ultimate Tic-Tac-Toe. The rules are essentially the same as traditional tic-tac-toe except that it is played on a 5×5 grid and the goal is to get four-in-a-row.
